What is GSTN?

GSTN refers to the Goods and Service Tax Network, mainly known to be a non-government non-profit organisation. GSTN is the vital database for GST ensuring the management of the entire IT system of the GST portal. This portal is used by the government to provide services to the taxpayers such as registration to File ITR Online  or maintenance of taxes, in addition, the portal also enables the government to track all the transactions.  

Functions of GSTN:

The backbone of the GST Common Portal is GSTN performing as an intersection between the taxpayers and the government. All the processes from the registration to the GST return filing are established in an online format. It is built in a manner to support an estimate of more than  3 billion invoices per month.
